Magnetic Engines and Group Engine Management GmbH Forge Strategic Partnership on CFM56 Engine Repairs

Magnetic Engines has formalized a cooperation agreement with Group Engine Management GmbH (GEM) to provide cost-effective and timely repair services for CFM56-5B engines under GEM’s management. Starting in May, these repairs will be conducted at Magnetic Engines’ workshop in Tallinn, Estonia, reinforcing the company’s operational footprint across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Expanding Capabilities and Service Flexibility

This partnership builds upon Magnetic Engines’ extensive experience, including prior collaborations with Lufthansa Group Airlines involving both base and line maintenance as well as engine shop repairs. The new agreement is structured to offer GEM and its clients enhanced flexibility and reliability by consolidating support for all CFM56 engines under a single contract, irrespective of the specific Lufthansa Group operator involved.

Victoria Goodenough, head of business development at Magnetic Engines, highlighted the strategic importance of the collaboration, stating, “The new agreement provides flexibility and reliability for our customer via a single agreement to cover all CFM56 engines regardless of the individual Lufthansa Group operator.
