The acquisition of two CFM Leap 1B engines represents a deliberate effort to diversify and strengthen its engine offerings.

Konrad identified growing market demand, technological advancements, and BeauTech’s close collaboration with GE Aerospace and CFM International as key factors motivating the investment in Leap 1A and 1B engines. He emphasized that supporting these products aligns with the company’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of industry developments. BeauTech intends to provide a comprehensive suite of services for Leap engines, including long- and short-term leasing, sale-and-leasebacks, and finance leases. The current market environment, which favors lessors, underpins this strategic expansion.

Nevertheless, this initiative unfolds amid intensifying competition and a deceleration in Leap engine deliveries. As CFM International aims to ramp up production and reach breakeven by 2025, BeauTech faces the challenge of distinguishing its offerings in a market where competitors are expected to enhance their service portfolios.

Konrad highlighted strong demand for Leap 1A engines and expressed optimism regarding the prospects for Leap 1Bs. Despite favorable conditions for lessors, BeauTech adheres to a policy of setting competitive lease rates based on acquisition and maintenance costs, deliberately avoiding price inflation. “We do not engage in price-gouging,” Konrad stated, contrasting BeauTech’s approach with certain practices observed in the CFM56 market. To minimize aircraft downtime and support operators effectively, BeauTech strategically positions Leap 1A and 1B engines, complete with full build-up kits, at major airport hubs worldwide.
