ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia has achieved certification from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) to perform both line and heavy maintenance on Japan-registered Falcon 2000EX aircraft. This certification marks a significant development for the company, enabling it to better serve Japanese operators who seek maintenance from an OEM-owned provider with internationally recognized credentials.

Ivan Lim, Regional Vice President Asia for ExecuJet MRO Services, emphasized the importance of the Japanese market, highlighting its size and the preference among operators for maintenance organizations that hold both national and international certifications. He noted, “We see potential in Japan, as it is a sizable business jet market, and because operators there want to send their aircraft to an OEM-owned MRO organisation that is certified nationally and internationally.”

Strategic Response to Market Demand

The Falcon 2000EX is particularly popular in Japan due to its long-range capabilities, ability to perform steep approaches, and suitability for operations on short runways. ExecuJet’s pursuit of JCAB approval was a direct response to this market demand. Lim explained that the company is prepared to broaden its service portfolio as interest from Japanese customers grows, stating, “As more customer queries from Japan come in, we will look to further expand the aircraft types in Japan we can serve.”
