GA Telesis Acquires AAR’s Landing Gear and Wheels & Brakes Business

GA Telesis Strengthens MRO Portfolio with Acquisition of AAR’s Landing Gear and Wheels & Brakes Business
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 7, 2025 – GA Telesis, LLC, a prominent global provider of integrated aviation solutions, has finalized the acquisition of AAR CORP.’s Landing Gear Overhaul and Wheels & Brakes business units. These operations will be incorporated into GA Telesis’ MRO Services Division, under the leadership of Pastor Lopez, and rebranded as GA Telesis Landing Gear Services. This strategic acquisition significantly broadens GA Telesis’ maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, covering a wide range of commercial and military aircraft, including models from Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer.
The transaction establishes GA Telesis as the largest independent landing gear MRO provider in the Americas. By integrating specialized wheel and brake repair and overhaul services, the company enhances its comprehensive aftermarket offerings. Additionally, the acquisition introduces High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) coating technology to GA Telesis’ portfolio, enabling advanced surface treatments that improve the durability and lifespan of critical aircraft components.
Abdol Moabery, President and CEO of GA Telesis, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome the new teams and capabilities into the GA Telesis Ecosystem™. With this acquisition complete, we are in an even stronger position to provide our airline and military customers with world-class solutions across an expanded range of services.” Pastor Lopez, President of MRO Services, emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion, noting, “The expansion of our landing systems capabilities is a major milestone in addressing capacity constraints in the market. Integrating these new business units with our existing operations will drive greater operational efficiency and value for our customers worldwide.”
While the acquisition marks a significant advancement in GA Telesis’ strategy to expand its global footprint and deliver innovative solutions, the company may encounter integration challenges as it merges new teams and technologies. Industry analysts anticipate that competitors may respond by enhancing their own service capabilities or adjusting pricing strategies to protect market share. The deal has also attracted heightened investor interest, reflecting expectations of strengthened market positioning and growth potential for GA Telesis.
