At the Paris Air Show, Safran and Bombardier Inc. formalized a new phase in their partnership by signing a letter of intent to jointly develop cutting-edge, high-performance technologies for the defense sector. Olivier Andriès, CEO of Safran, described the collaboration as a strategic move that strengthens the longstanding relationship between the two groups. Éric Martel, president and CEO of Bombardier, highlighted the potential for the partnership to foster the development of new solutions by leveraging their respective areas of expertise. In a joint statement issued on June 13, French Prime Minister François Bayrou and Quebec Premier François Legault reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic ties between Quebec and France, with a particular emphasis on aerospace innovation.
