Philippines Airlines to take first A350-1000s in late 2025

Philippine Airlines to Receive First A350-1000s in Late 2025
Overview
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to receive nine new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft starting in late 2025, with deliveries continuing through 2027. This major fleet upgrade will significantly boost the airline’s long-haul operations and global reach.
Fleet Expansion and Capacity
The new A350-1000s will complement PAL’s existing widebody fleet, including A350-900s, A330-300s, and Boeing 777-300ERs. Each aircraft will feature a three-class cabin layout with Business, Premium Economy, and Economy seating, accommodating up to 380 passengers. This upgrade will improve passenger comfort and overall travel experience.
Enhanced Long-Haul Operations
With the extended range and efficiency of the A350-1000, PAL will be able to operate non-stop flights to ultra-long-haul destinations, such as the East Coast of the United States and Canada. Additionally, the airline is considering resuming direct flights to European cities like Paris and Brussels, further expanding its international network.
Sustainability Commitment
The Airbus A350-1000 is known for its fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions compared to older aircraft. Incorporating these planes into the fleet aligns with PAL’s goals to reduce environmental impact and operate one of the youngest, most modern widebody fleets in Asia.
Future Prospects
This fleet expansion positions Philippine Airlines for future growth in the competitive international aviation market. The combination of modern aircraft, expanded routes, and a focus on sustainability aims to enhance PAL’s global connectivity and passenger appeal.
