FL Technics Appoints New Head of Logistics and Storage

FL Technics Strengthens Global Logistics Leadership with New Appointment
FL Technics has appointed Mazvydas Matazinskas as the new Head of Logistics and Storage, a strategic decision aimed at enhancing the company’s global logistics operations. Matazinskas brings over ten years of experience in logistics, including eight years within FL Technics’ own logistics department. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s worldwide logistics strategy, as well as driving further growth and innovation initiatives.
Matazinskas intends to apply his expertise to support FL Technics’ expansion by introducing LEAN-driven processes, improving relationships with international clients, and optimizing internal workflows. He highlighted the critical importance of logistics in the aviation sector, emphasizing the sector’s unique challenges in transporting aviation cargo across diverse global markets. “With deep knowledge of aviation regulations and supply chain requirements, we have successfully delivered logistics services for over ten years to aircraft maintenance and supply companies, airlines, leasing companies, and freight forwarders. In the past 12 months alone, we’ve shipped more than 20,000 consignments worldwide,” Matazinskas stated.
His appointment comes at a time when global supply chains are becoming increasingly complex, presenting both challenges and opportunities. Industry analysts expect that Matazinskas’ extensive experience will not only strengthen FL Technics’ market position but also prompt competitors to enhance their logistics strategies in response to rising standards of efficiency and innovation.
Future Developments and Global Reach
FL Technics CEO Zilvinas Lapinskas outlined several forthcoming initiatives aimed at advancing the company’s logistics capabilities. These include expanding the sales and operations teams, implementing round-the-clock logistics support, and deploying a new transport management system. Lapinskas noted that these measures are designed to meet the evolving demands of airlines and other aviation industry stakeholders worldwide.
Over the past year, FL Technics has expanded its logistics footprint by delivering shipments to 90 countries and partnering with more than 160 clients. The company operates four logistics hubs strategically located in Lithuania, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Singapore, which underpin its extensive global reach.
As a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, FL Technics serves prominent commercial aviation clients such as Wizz Air, Lufthansa, and Saudia. The company maintains 23 subsidiaries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and North America. As part of Avia Solutions Group—the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider—FL Technics benefits from the resources of a group managing a fleet of 221 aircraft and over 250 subsidiaries.
