Flexjet Named Official Private Aviation Supplier for Formula 1
Flexjet has been appointed as the official private aviation supplier for Formula 1, marking the beginning of a multi-year partnership announced ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix at Silverstone, scheduled for July 5. This agreement entrusts Flexjet, which operates a global fleet of over 340 private jets—including a substantial number of large-cabin aircraft—with providing exclusive fleet access to VIPs, executives, and teams throughout the international Formula 1 calendar.
Tailored Aviation Solutions and Sustainability Initiatives
As part of the partnership, Flexjet will support Formula 1’s rigorous travel demands by offering bespoke aviation solutions. These include flights operated with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), reflecting the company’s commitment to a comprehensive sustainability program. Flexjet’s fractional aircraft owners will also gain access to exclusive hospitality and behind-the-scenes experiences at select Grand Prix events worldwide through its Red Label program, which curates luxury experiences both in the air and on the ground. Furthermore, Flexjet and Formula 1 plan to collaborate on a digital content series that will showcase their partnership.
Kenn Ricci, chairman of Flexjet, highlighted the natural synergy between the two brands, stating, “This is a natural alignment of two worlds in which both luxury aircraft and fast cars require absolute precision and flawless coordination to achieve success. As we look to the future alongside our partners at LVMH, cementing our longstanding ties with the world of motor racing allows us to deliver unparalleled, ultra-luxury experiences, both on the ground and in the air.”
Strategic Importance and Industry Context
Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula 1, welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of reliable partners in the global championship’s continuous movement. “As a global championship we are constantly on the move, engaging with our fans, partners, promoters and stakeholders all around the world, 365 days a year. Having partners that support us on our mission to deliver the best sport, and an unforgettable show is vital to our ongoing success, so I am delighted to welcome Flexjet as a new Official Supplier. We share a deep passion and commitment to precision and innovation, and a dedication to providing exceptional experiences.”
The partnership arrives amid intensified competition within the private aviation sector. Flexjet faces challenges such as managing surges in demand during race weekends, ensuring the reliability and security of flights for high-profile clients, and maintaining competitive pricing amid rivalry from other private aviation providers. Industry analysts note that Flexjet’s recent fleet expansion and acquisitions underscore its strategic intent to strengthen its market position and meet the logistical demands of high-profile partnerships like this one.
Market response to the announcement has been positive, with increased interest in Flexjet’s services. Competitors are expected to respond with aggressive marketing strategies and enhanced service offerings to safeguard their market share. As the partnership develops, both Flexjet and Formula 1 aim to establish new benchmarks for luxury, efficiency, and sustainability in global sports travel.
