Mindtrip Introduces AI-Powered Flight Booking in Partnership with Sabre and PayPal

Mindtrip Unveils AI-Driven Flight Booking Platform in Collaboration with Sabre and PayPal
San Francisco, May 6, 2026 — Mindtrip, an innovative AI-powered travel platform, has launched Mindtrip Flights, a conversational flight booking service developed in partnership with Sabre and PayPal. This new platform seeks to transform the traditional flight search and booking experience by enabling travelers to interact directly with an AI assistant, eliminating the need for conventional filters and extensive result lists.
A New Approach to Flight Booking
Mindtrip Flights leverages Sabre’s AI-native travel platform, Sabre Mosaic™, combined with PayPal’s agentic commerce services to provide real-time flight options alongside seamless payment solutions. At launch, customers who book flights through Mindtrip and spend $250 or more using PayPal’s Buy Now Pay Later service are eligible to earn 5,000 PayPal points, equivalent to $50. This integration aims to enhance convenience and incentivize users to adopt the new system.
Unlike traditional flight search engines, Mindtrip Flights allows users to engage in natural language queries such as, “What are the cheapest flights for a ten-day trip to Paris in June?” The AI processes vast combinations of flights, taking into account factors like flexible timing, routing preferences, and traveler-specific needs to deliver concise and tailored recommendations. The platform is designed to manage complex travel arrangements, including group bookings from multiple departure cities, alternative airports, and last-minute itinerary changes. It also continuously learns from user interactions to refine and personalize its suggestions.
Andy Moss, CEO of Mindtrip, emphasized the platform’s potential to simplify the often complicated and time-consuming process of flight planning. He stated, “Mindtrip Flights shows how agentic AI can simplify that complexity, moving travelers from overwhelming choice to clear, confident decisions. Travel is shifting from search to AI-assisted decision-making, and the platforms that win will be the ones that understand the traveler and deliver the best outcome at the right moment.”
Market Context and Industry Challenges
Mindtrip enters a competitive market where established platforms such as Skyscanner and Almosafer have also incorporated AI into their travel search and booking services. Initial market responses reveal strong enthusiasm for AI-powered booking among early adopters in the Middle East, while Western markets exhibit more caution, citing concerns related to trust and regulatory frameworks. Industry analysts anticipate that competitors may respond by enhancing their AI capabilities or forging new partnerships to maintain market share.
Concerns have also been raised regarding the reliability of emerging AI travel platforms. TripWorks, a travel technology provider, has warned that some AI-driven services may fall short of expectations, particularly when managing complex travel scenarios. This underscores the necessity for robust AI systems capable of adapting to the dynamic and multifaceted nature of real-world travel.
Mindtrip Flights aims to confront these challenges by prioritizing transparency, adaptability, and a user-centric design philosophy. As AI continues to reshape the travel industry, the platform’s ability to fulfill its promises will be closely monitored by consumers and competitors alike.
