Gulfstream Reports Record Deliveries in First Nine Months of 2025
Business jet manufacturer Gulfstream has announced its highest aircraft delivery figures in over a decade for the first nine months of 2025, highlighting its dominant position in a thriving business aviation market. The company delivered 113 aircraft by the end of September, a substantial increase from 89 during the same period last year, according to the third-quarter financial results released by parent company General Dynamics on October 24.
Supply Chain Improvements and Financial Performance
General Dynamics executive vice-president of global operations, Danny Deep, attributed the surge in deliveries to significant improvements in the supply chain, noting that on-time deliveries have returned to pre-pandemic levels. “In terms of airplane deliveries, the progress has been pronounced with our delivery cadence steadily increasing,” Deep stated.
This record delivery pace has driven a 41% year-on-year increase in operating profit for General Dynamics’ aerospace segment, which encompasses Gulfstream and Jet Aviation. Operating profit for the third quarter reached $430 million, while revenue rose 30% to $3.2 billion. General Dynamics CEO Phebe Novakovic emphasized that the revenue growth was “led by new aircraft deliveries, higher special-mission volume and the services business at both Gulfstream and Jet [Aviation].”
Strong Demand for Gulfstream’s Flagship Models
During the third quarter alone, Gulfstream delivered 39 business jets, marking a 39% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This included 13 G700s and three G800s. The G800, which received Federal Aviation Administration certification in April, was delivered to its first customer during the quarter. Both the G700 and G800 represent Gulfstream’s largest, longest-range, and most expensive models, and their successful market introduction has significantly contributed to the company’s robust financial results.
Reflecting this momentum, General Dynamics has raised its full-year 2025 guidance, now projecting aerospace revenue of $13.2 billion and total aircraft deliveries between 153 and 157, up from previous estimates of $12.9 billion and 150 to 155 deliveries.
Market Outlook and Industry Context
Gulfstream’s strong performance coincides with broader signs of sustained growth in the business jet market. Industry forecasts from Honeywell anticipate 8,500 business jet deliveries valued at $283 billion over the next decade, with the market expected to approach $40 billion in 2025. New deliveries are projected to exceed 800 aircraft next year, indicating a robust demand environment. While competitors such as Embraer remain active, Gulfstream’s record-setting delivery pace may prompt other manufacturers to reevaluate their strategies to remain competitive.
As Gulfstream leverages favorable market conditions and enhanced supply chain reliability, its impressive delivery figures and financial results reinforce its leadership position in an increasingly competitive and expanding business jet sector.
