ST Engineering Secures Multi-Year LEAP-1A Engine Maintenance Contract with Air Cairo
ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace division has announced the signing of a five-year maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) agreement with Air Cairo, marking the company’s first collaboration with the Egyptian carrier. The contract covers support for the LEAP-1A engines that power Air Cairo’s Airbus A320neo fleet. Services will include quick-turn repairs and Performance Restoration Shop Visit (PRSV) work, conducted at ST Engineering’s engine MRO facility in Singapore. The initial engine induction is scheduled for mid-2025.

Captain Ahmed Shanan, Chairman and CEO of Air Cairo, expressed satisfaction with the new partnership, emphasizing ST Engineering’s reputation as a global leader in engine overhaul. He highlighted the agreement as a reflection of Air Cairo’s dedication to operational excellence, reliability, and stringent safety standards for its expanding fleet.
