Tecnam Appoints St. Barth Executive as Authorized P2012 Service Center
Tecnam has officially designated St. Barth Executive – Air Inter Isles as an Authorized Service Center for its P2012 aircraft series, marking a significant expansion of its support network throughout the Caribbean and the Americas. Announced on the final day of the 2025 Caribavia conference, this appointment empowers the Saint-Barthélemy-based operator to deliver factory-authorized maintenance, technical assistance, and parts supply for the growing fleet of Tecnam P2012 aircraft in the region.
Strengthening Regional Support and Operational Efficiency
This strategic partnership reflects Tecnam’s ongoing commitment to enhancing customer service and minimizing aircraft downtime for operators across the Caribbean. St. Barth Executive, a prominent regional operator with direct experience flying the Tecnam P2012 STOL, brings valuable operational insight and technical proficiency to its new role. Francesco Sferra, Tecnam’s P2012 sales and business development manager, emphasized the importance of local support in the region, stating, “Tecnam makes once again a tangible step towards its operators, enhancing local support while contributing to regional growth. Their proven capabilities, professionalism, and familiarity with the P2012 platform make them an ideal partner to support our customers. The presence of a local MRO is fundamental to overcoming the unique challenges of supporting aircraft in the Caribbean.”
The appointment arrives amid intensifying competition in the regional business aviation market. Established service providers such as Pro Star Aviation, which recently inaugurated an authorized Pilatus center, are expected to respond with enhanced service offerings or new partnerships to maintain their market positions. Industry observers will be closely monitoring how the new Tecnam service center’s reliability, efficiency, and pricing compare with existing alternatives, as the broader market’s response will depend on the perceived value and effectiveness of Tecnam’s expanded support.
Enhanced Access and Infrastructure for Tecnam Operators
For operators of the Tecnam P2012 Traveller—an aircraft renowned for its reliability, advanced avionics, and versatility—the addition of St. Barth Executive as an Authorized Service Center promises improved regional access to maintenance and technical support. Vincent Beauvarlet, president of St. Barth Executive, expressed pride in the appointment, noting, “We are proud and honored that Tecnam has appointed Saint-Barth Executive as the first Authorized Service Center for the P2012 aircraft series in the Caribbean. This recognition reflects the trust Tecnam places in our technical expertise and operational commitment.”
Beauvarlet highlighted recent investments in maintenance facilities located in Guadeloupe and Saint-Martin, which are equipped with advanced tooling, extensive spare parts inventories, and highly qualified technical teams. “Our infrastructure is unique in the Caribbean—fully autonomous and designed for rapid deployment. We can mobilize parts, tools, and technicians anywhere in the region in under an hour to support P2012 operators,” he explained.
Concluding on the partnership’s significance, Beauvarlet stated, “This new partnership reinforces our ambition to provide modern, mobile, and reliable maintenance services across the Caribbean, ensuring every Tecnam owner benefits from world-class support, wherever they operate.” As Tecnam and its partners advance this initiative, the regional business aviation market will be attentive to how this new service center influences the competitive landscape for aircraft support in the Caribbean.
