AerFin Delivers Overhauled 777-300ER to Major Airline

AerFin Delivers Overhauled 777-300ER Landing Gear to Major International Airline
AerFin has successfully completed the sale of an overhauled Boeing 777-300ER landing gear set to a prominent international airline, reinforcing its standing as a reliable partner in the global aviation aftermarket. This transaction underscores AerFin’s growing capability to provide airlines with high-quality used serviceable material (USM), presenting a cost-effective alternative to new parts while supporting operational reliability.
Maximizing Value Through Refurbishment
The landing gear was sourced through AerFin’s ongoing teardown and overhaul programme, which aims to maximize value from mid-life aircraft assets. By refurbishing and returning critical components to service, AerFin assists airlines in mitigating the long lead times and substantial costs often associated with procuring new parts. Vitalija Zutautaite, Vice President of Trading at AerFin, emphasized the significance of this transaction, stating, “This transaction reflects the continued demand for high-quality used serviceable material in a market where lead times and reliability are critical. We’re proud to support this leading carrier with the material they need to keep their fleet flying safely and efficiently.”
This sale follows a series of recent component deliveries from AerFin’s expanding inventory, which includes parts from Boeing 777, Airbus A330, and Airbus A320neo aircraft. These efforts highlight AerFin’s commitment to sustainable lifecycle support and its responsiveness to the evolving needs of the global aviation sector.
Expanding Inventory and Industry Challenges
As AerFin’s inventory grows, the company faces logistical challenges at its Miami hub, particularly with rising demand for high-volume platforms such as the 737NG and Embraer E-Jet. The ability to scale infrastructure and efficiently manage increasing inventory volumes has attracted attention from both customers and competitors. Industry analysts suggest that other aircraft leasing and maintenance providers may adjust their strategies in response to AerFin’s enhanced logistics and material support capabilities.
Broader industry developments, including delays in Boeing’s 777-9 certification, continue to influence market dynamics. These shifts require AerFin to maintain flexibility and responsiveness to changing customer requirements, ensuring ongoing support for airlines navigating an uncertain supply environment.
With a strategic focus on sustainable material solutions and operational agility, AerFin is positioning itself as a key player in the aviation aftermarket, meeting the demands of airlines worldwide while adapting to the sector’s ongoing challenges.
