Airbus CEO Confirms First-Half Deliveries Align with Annual Target
At the Farnborough Airshow, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury affirmed that the company remains on track to meet its full-year delivery target of 870 aircraft. Speaking to CNBC TV, Faury highlighted a 15% increase in deliveries during the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year, attributing the improvement to stabilizing engine supplies.
Airbus delivered 351 jets in the first six months of 2026, a significant rise from the previous year, while securing net orders for 822 aircraft. This robust demand underscores the company’s resilience amid ongoing challenges in the aerospace sector, particularly supply chain disruptions and component availability. Maintaining delivery targets continues to be a central focus as Airbus navigates these industry pressures.
Investor sentiment has been positive, buoyed by Airbus’s ability to ramp up production despite widespread constraints. The competitive environment remains intense, with Boeing reporting its highest first-half deliveries since 2018, totaling 314 aircraft. This development adds pressure on Airbus to sustain its delivery momentum and protect its market share.
Looking ahead, Airbus plans to closely monitor supply chain conditions and collaborate with suppliers to ensure it stays on course to achieve its annual delivery objectives.
