Awery to Lead Digital Transformation at Network Aviation Group

Awery to Lead Digital Transformation at Network Aviation Group
Network Aviation Group has appointed Awery Aviation Software to lead a comprehensive global IT transformation, marking a pivotal advancement in the company’s digital evolution. Awery, a specialist provider of IT services and software tailored to the international air cargo and aviation sectors, will deploy a fully integrated digital platform across all divisions of Network Aviation Group.
Streamlining Operations Across Diverse Aviation Services
With a history spanning more than four decades, Network Aviation Group manages a portfolio of wholly-owned and interconnected aviation companies engaged in airline cargo sales, logistics, and freighter aircraft management. The new digital platform is designed to centralize and streamline the group’s varied cargo operations, encompassing scheduled freighter services, charter activities, and its general sales and services agent (GSSA) business.
Jonathan Clark, chief executive of Network Aviation Group, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative, stating, “After a thorough review process, and detailed period of collaboration, we’re confident that Awery’s platform is the right fit for a business as broad and operationally diverse as ours. Our focus is now on implementing systems that bring greater consistency, better data visibility, and smarter coordination across all our businesses.”
Replacing Legacy Systems with Integrated Solutions
Awery’s software will supplant a fragmented array of legacy systems and manual processes, enabling Network Aviation Group to operate as a digitally connected organization. Vitaly Smilianets, founder and chief executive of Awery, remarked, “Network Aviation Group has a unique structure and wide reach, and it was clear from the start that any system would need to adapt to that. Our teams have worked closely together to develop a solution that supports both standardization and flexibility, so that each part of the business benefits while still operating in sync.”
The contract was formalized at Air Cargo Europe in Munich, Germany, where both companies were exhibiting. The trade show, held from June 2 to 5, underscores the growing industry emphasis on digital transformation as a means to enhance operational resilience.
Navigating Industry Challenges Through Technology
Network Aviation Group’s digital initiative emerges amid ongoing industry challenges, including persistent supply chain disruptions that continue to affect capacity and the affordability of air travel. While some analysts view this investment in technology as a proactive measure to strengthen resilience, others remain cautious given the uncertain economic environment. Competitors may pursue similar digital strategies, but Network Aviation Group’s customized approach and established market presence could confer a competitive advantage.
Recent industry analyses emphasize the critical role of technology investment for airlines aiming to manage volatility and reinforce their market positions. As digital transformation becomes increasingly central to the sector, Network Aviation Group’s collaboration with Awery positions it at the forefront of this shift, seeking to enhance efficiency and adaptability in a rapidly evolving landscape.
