Honda Celebrates 20 Years of Aviation Innovation at AirVenture Oshkosh 2026

Honda Celebrates Two Decades of Aviation Innovation at AirVenture Oshkosh 2026
Honda Aircraft Company is marking its 20th anniversary in aviation with its largest-ever presence at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture Oshkosh 2026. The company’s extensive exhibit, located at Booth 407, will run from July 20 to 26 and showcase a broad spectrum of Honda’s achievements across aviation, mobility, and motorsports.
A Diverse Showcase of Innovation
Central to Honda’s display is a HondaJet HA-420 from the current pre-owned inventory, featuring the advanced APMG S performance upgrade package. Alongside this, visitors will find an array of Honda and Acura heritage vehicles, as well as powersports and racing products that highlight the company’s multifaceted expertise. A significant highlight is the U.S. debut of a 1/3-scale flight-test model of Honda’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This model exemplifies Honda’s ongoing research into hybrid eVTOL technology, which integrates electric propulsion with the company’s proprietary gas turbine hybrid system, signaling a forward-looking approach to urban air mobility.
In addition to its technological exhibits, Honda Aircraft continues its dedication to education by serving as the presenting sponsor of EAA’s GirlVenture Camp. This initiative provides young women in grades 9 through 12 with unique opportunities to engage with pilots and industry professionals, participate in aviation-focused workshops, and experience flight simulation activities, fostering the next generation of aviation talent.
Engaging the Aviation Community
The Honda exhibit also features the Honda Hangar, a broadcast studio designed to facilitate daily discussions on the company’s latest technological advancements and mobility initiatives. These sessions will spotlight the innovators behind Honda’s progress and will be recorded for later distribution on the HondaJet YouTube channel, extending the reach of the event beyond Oshkosh.
Honda’s milestone celebration takes place amid a highly competitive environment at AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, where major aerospace players such as Boeing and Tecnam are also unveiling new developments. The concurrent Farnborough Airshow adds complexity, as industry focus and resources are divided between the two major events. This competitive landscape, coupled with rapid technological evolution, regulatory shifts, and emerging market trends, presents ongoing challenges for Honda as it strives to sustain its reputation for innovation and relevance in the aviation sector.
Nonetheless, Honda’s prominent participation at AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 reaffirms its commitment to advancing aviation technology and nurturing future industry leaders.
