RateGain Partners with VietJet Qazaqstan to Launch AI-Powered Pricing Platform
Travel technology firm RateGain Travel Technologies has announced that Central Asian carrier VIETJET QAZAQSTAN has adopted its AI-driven airfare pricing intelligence platform, AirGain, to strengthen its market positioning and refine pricing strategies on key routes. The collaboration aims to provide the airline with enhanced capabilities to monitor fare fluctuations, benchmark competitor prices in real time, and implement dynamic pricing adjustments.
Enhancing Pricing Strategy Through AI
The AirGain platform is designed to automate fare tracking processes, thereby reducing manual workload for VIETJET QAZAQSTAN’s commercial teams. It offers actionable insights into emerging market trends, shifts in demand, and pricing anomalies at the route level. Igor Chernyavskiy, Head of Pricing & Revenue Management at VIETJET QAZAQSTAN, emphasized the strategic advantage this technology provides: “As we scale operations, the ability to see and respond to market changes instantly becomes a real advantage. AirGain gives our teams the clarity and speed needed to stay competitive while ensuring we continue to offer strong value to our passengers.”
VIETJET QAZAQSTAN, formerly known as QAZAQ AIR, underwent rebranding in 2025 following an investment by Vietnam’s Sovico Group. The airline is currently expanding its operational footprint across Central Asia, positioning itself for growth in a competitive regional market.
Industry Implications and Challenges
Vinay Varma, Senior Vice President and General Manager at AirGain, noted the evolving challenges faced by airlines: “Airlines today don’t struggle with lack of data; they struggle with timing and clarity. With VIETJET QAZAQSTAN, the focus is on enabling faster decisions with the right context.” Despite the potential benefits, integrating the AI platform with existing airline systems presents technical challenges, including the complexity of processing real-time data and ensuring seamless coordination. Additionally, the transition may encounter resistance from staff adapting to new technologies and workflows.
This partnership is expected to intensify competition within the Central Asian aviation sector. By leveraging real-time fare tracking and dynamic pricing, VIETJET QAZAQSTAN aims to secure a competitive edge. Industry analysts anticipate that rival airlines may respond by pursuing similar collaborations with AI pricing technology providers or by developing their own advanced pricing mechanisms to protect market share.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integral to airline operations, the success of this initiative could serve as a catalyst for broader adoption of AI-powered pricing solutions throughout the region.
