Embraer on Track to Meet Commercial Delivery Targets Despite Supply Chain Challenges Embraer’s Commercial Aviation division demonstrated continued progress in the third quarter of 2025, delivering 20 new commercial aircraft—the highest quarterly total for the segment this year. This figure slightly exceeds the 19 jets delivered in the previous quarter and the 16 delivered during the same period last year, reflecting steady advancement toward the company’s annual delivery goals. E195-E2 Drives Commercial Deliveries Amid Market Restrictions The E195-E2, Embraer’s largest and most fuel-efficient commercial aircraft, accounted for more than half of the quarter’s commercial deliveries, underscoring its increasing importance within the company’s product portfolio. Key customers for the E195-E2 include Porter Airlines, Airlink/Azorra, and LOT Polish Airlines. However, restrictive “scope clauses” in the United States—intended to protect flight crew employment—continue to limit the aircraft’s penetration into the world’s largest regional market due to its capacity and weight. An exception to these restrictions is low-fare carrier Avelo, which operates independently of major airlines and is therefore not subject to such limitations. In September, Avelo placed a firm order for 50 E195-E2 aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 50, providing a significant boost to Embraer’s order book. Supply Chain Constraints and Industry-Wide Challenges Despite this positive momentum, Embraer continues to grapple with supply chain bottlenecks and engine shortages. The company delivered a total of 61 aircraft in the third quarter, comprising 20 commercial jets and 41 business aircraft. Production of the E175 regional jet has been particularly affected by limited availability of GE Aerospace CF34 turbofan engines, disrupting output and intensifying pressure to meet delivery schedules. These supply chain challenges are not unique to Embraer. Industry competitors such as Airbus are also closely monitoring disruptions, particularly those originating from China. Meanwhile, Dassault Falcon Jet and Embraer Executive Jets have highlighted the necessity of developing a comprehensive ecosystem to support sustainable growth within the aviation sector. Outlook for 2025 Deliveries Despite ongoing headwinds, Embraer remains on course to meet its full-year commercial aircraft delivery guidance, projecting between 77 and 85 commercial deliveries for 2025. Achieving the midpoint of this range would represent a targeted 10% increase over last year’s commercial deliveries, signaling steady recovery and growth in the regional jet market amid persistent industry challenges.
