The European Commission’s expanded use of import quotas and tariffs—particularly targeting Chinese goods—has compelled manufacturers and retailers to reassess supply chains and sourcing strategies. These regulatory changes may influence consumer behavior and market dynamics, prompting competitors to realign sourcing or invest in domestic production to mitigate the impact of higher tariffs and duties.
