Embraer Delivers 61 Aircraft in Second Quarter 2025

Embraer Reports Strong Delivery Growth in Second Quarter 2025
Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer announced the delivery of 61 aircraft across all its business units in the second quarter of 2025, marking a 30% increase compared to 47 aircraft delivered in the same period last year. This figure also more than doubles the volume recorded in the first quarter of 2025, underscoring a significant rebound in production and deliveries amid ongoing industry challenges.
Commercial and Business Aviation Performance
In the commercial aviation segment, Embraer delivered 19 aircraft during the quarter, maintaining parity with deliveries in the second quarter of 2024. The deliveries comprised nine E175s, one E190-E2 destined for Mexicana, and nine E195-E2 jets. Year-to-date, the company has delivered 26 commercial aircraft, consistent with the same period in 2024, and continues to target a full-year delivery range of 75 to 95 commercial airframes. The announcement by All Nippon Airways (ANA) to incorporate Embraer E190-E2s into its fleet further highlights sustained demand for the manufacturer’s commercial jets.
Business aviation demonstrated particularly strong growth, with Embraer delivering four Phenom 100 and nine Phenom 300 light jets during the quarter. In the midsize category, deliveries included eight Praetor 500 and nine Praetor 600 jets, representing a marked increase from both the previous quarter and the corresponding period last year. The robust performance of the Praetor line reflects solid market demand, though it also signals potential intensification of competition as rival manufacturers may accelerate their own delivery schedules and expand product offerings in response.
Defense Sector and Special Programs
Embraer did not record any deliveries of the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft during the quarter. However, the company delivered four A-29 Super Tucano training aircraft to the Paraguayan Air Force on the final day of the quarter, marking the first such deliveries in 2025. Additionally, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defense selected the Embraer C-390 Millennium as its next-generation military transport aircraft, representing a significant endorsement of the platform.
New Orders and Market Developments
At the Paris Air Show 2025, Embraer secured substantial new orders that reinforce its market position. SkyWest Airlines agreed to purchase up to 110 Embraer E175 jets, with 16 units already allocated to operate for Delta Air Lines under a multi-year contract commencing in 2027. On the same day, South Africa’s Airlink announced plans to lease 10 new E195-E2 jets from Azorra, with deliveries scheduled between late 2025 and 2027.
Embraer also revealed that Bridges Air Cargo will serve as the launch customer for its new E190F passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion program, further diversifying the company’s product portfolio and expanding its footprint in the cargo market.
Industry Outlook and Competitive Challenges
While Embraer’s 30% year-on-year delivery growth signals positive momentum for the company and its investors, the manufacturer continues to face significant challenges. Supply chain disruptions and rising raw material costs pose risks to future production schedules. Moreover, competitors such as Airbus and Comac are expected to respond with increased production capacity and potential pricing strategies aimed at defending market share, thereby intensifying competition.
Despite these headwinds, Embraer’s strong second-quarter performance and healthy order backlog position the company favorably for the remainder of 2025. Nonetheless, both the company and its investors remain vigilant as industry dynamics continue to evolve.
