MAS Chooses Joramco for A330 Fleet Maintenance at MRO Europe 2025

MAS Selects Joramco for A330 Fleet Maintenance at MRO Europe 2025
Amman-based Joramco, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility and engineering division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has secured a significant maintenance contract with Mexican cargo airline MAS. The agreement entails Joramco performing heavy base maintenance checks on MAS’s Airbus A330 fleet, with services set to commence in December 2025. This partnership was formally announced at the Aviation Week MRO Europe 2025 event held in London.
Strategic Partnership and Industry Context
Fraser Currie, chief strategy and commercial officer at DAE Engineering, expressed satisfaction in welcoming MAS as a new partner, emphasizing that the deal reinforces Joramco’s reputation as a trusted MRO provider for leasing companies, operators, and airlines globally. Andrés Fabre, executive chairman of MAS, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, noting Joramco’s technical expertise and dedication to excellence as critical factors in supporting the maintenance of their A330 fleet. He underscored the partnership’s role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance for MAS’s customers.
This agreement emerges amid ongoing challenges within the MRO sector, particularly concerning supply chain management. Industry analysts have pointed to material shortages as a significant obstacle in engine maintenance, raising concerns about the timely availability of essential components. As airlines like MAS seek dependable maintenance partners, MRO providers face increasing pressure to overcome these supply chain difficulties.
Evolving MRO Landscape and Technological Adaptation
In response to these challenges, competitors in the MRO market are increasingly adopting advanced technologies, including vertical integration and data-driven materials forecasting, to improve operational efficiency and maintain competitiveness. Such innovations are becoming vital as the European aviation market anticipates a substantial increase in new aircraft deliveries over the coming decade, which is expected to drive heightened demand for comprehensive MRO services.
Joramco’s new agreement with MAS not only expands its global client base but also reflects the shifting dynamics of aircraft maintenance. Operational reliability, supply chain resilience, and technological innovation are now central to meeting the evolving needs of airlines worldwide.
