Norway's Reitan Acquires New Citation Latitude Jet

Norway's Reitan Expands Private Aviation Fleet with New Citation Latitude Jet
Reitan, a prominent Norwegian conglomerate with extensive retail operations across Scandinavia and the Baltic region, has recently augmented its private aviation capabilities through the acquisition of a new Citation Latitude jet. The aircraft, registered as LN-RRR (msn 680A-0433), was delivered directly from Textron Aviation’s production facility in Wichita Eisenhower to Oslo Gardermoen Airport on June 2, following a brief stopover at Goose Bay.
Operational and Ownership Structure
The Citation Latitude is operated by Rely (Norway), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reitan, under the airline code "RTG." Ownership of the jet resides with Reitan Retail, another subsidiary within the Reitan group. The aircraft is intended to serve both business travel requirements and private flights for the Reitan family, reflecting the company’s commitment to maintaining a versatile and efficient aviation fleet.
Complementing an Established Fleet
This acquisition complements Reitan’s existing fleet, which includes a 7.8-year-old Falcon 2000LXS (registration LN-RTO, msn 334). Like the Citation Latitude, the Falcon is operated by Rely but is directly owned by Reitan. Previously, Rely also operated a King Air 250 owned by Reitan Retail’s subsidiary REMA 1000; however, this aircraft was sold in the second quarter of 2024.
Strategic Investment in Aviation
The addition of the Citation Latitude underscores Reitan’s ongoing investment in private aviation as a strategic asset to support its diverse business operations and the travel needs of the Reitan family. This move highlights the company’s focus on operational efficiency and flexibility within its corporate structure.
