UAE's Airavat and India's Fly Sirius Rebrand as Transworld Jets

Consolidation Under a Unified Brand

Airavat, a subsidiary of the Dubai-based Transworld Group, and Fly Sirius (Delhi International), a joint venture between Transworld Group and Sirius India Airlines Pvt. Ltd., have officially rebranded as Transworld Jets. This strategic move, announced in a June 2 press release, aims to unify both companies under the parent group's identity. Ramesh S Ramakrishnan, chairman of Transworld Group, emphasized the importance of Dubai and New Delhi as key operational hubs, expressing the company’s intention to expand its footprint across the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, and the Indian market.

Operational and Regulatory Developments

The rebranding follows a recent operational adjustment involving the placement of two of the three Hawker 4000 aircraft and a newly inducted Falcon 2000DX—all registered in San Marino—under the air operator's certificate (AOC) of SybaJet San Marino (BCP). This change was necessitated by Airavat’s lack of certification to operate within the United Arab Emirates. Previously, the Hawker 4000s were registered under the AOC of DC Aviation San Marino (DCU, Rimini). Meanwhile, the third Hawker 4000, registered in India, continues to operate under the non-scheduled operator's permit (NSOP) of Fly Sirius.

Prospective Fleet Expansion

Earlier this year, Indian media outlets reported that Fly Sirius was engaged in advanced negotiations with Textron Aviation to acquire twenty Citation Longitude jets. While the company confirmed ongoing discussions with Textron Aviation and other manufacturers in a statement to ch-aviation, it declined to provide further details at this stage.
