Chromalloy Appoints Anna Haarten as Executive Vice President of Engine Component Repair
Chromalloy has named Anna Haarten as Executive Vice President of its Engine Component Repair Solutions (ECRS) division. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Haarten will be responsible for overseeing global operations, profit and loss management, and the strategic direction of Chromalloy’s turbine engine repair business. This segment serves a diverse clientele, including airlines, defense organizations, engine lessors, and repair centers worldwide.
Leadership Role and Strategic Focus
ECRS specializes in high-value repairs for turbine engine components, providing both Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) book repairs and advanced repairs approved by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Designated Engineering Representative (DER). In her new role, Haarten will spearhead initiatives to enhance customer value, develop proprietary repair technologies, and expand Chromalloy’s market presence through strategic partnerships with engine asset operators, owners, and service centers. Additionally, she will collaborate closely with the Component Asset Management team to advance rotable and set management solutions.
Chris Celtruda, Chromalloy’s CEO, emphasized Haarten’s qualifications, stating, “Anna is a results-driven leader with extensive commercial and operating expertise in the commercial aviation aftermarket. Her strong technical foundation and industry relationships align perfectly with Chromalloy’s mission to deliver alternative aftermarket solutions to global turbine engine customers. We are pleased to welcome her to the executive team and look forward to her leadership.”
Professional Background and Industry Experience
Haarten brings over 15 years of experience in aero-engine maintenance, commercial growth, pricing strategies, operational transformation, and global strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Chromalloy, she held senior leadership roles at Delta TechOps, where she managed a $500 million portfolio encompassing commercial and military engine maintenance. Her positions at Delta TechOps included General Manager of Engine Maintenance and Product Development, General Manager of Airframe and Indirect Supply Chain, and Manager of MRO Services Business Development. Haarten holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Expressing enthusiasm about her appointment, Haarten remarked, “I’m thrilled to join Chromalloy and become part of a team with such a strong reputation for innovation and operational excellence. I look forward to working alongside our teams to strengthen how we serve our customers, deliver exceptional value, and support Chromalloy’s continued growth.”
Industry Context and Outlook
Haarten’s appointment arrives at a critical juncture for Chromalloy as the company navigates the complexities of the global turbine engine repair market. She will be tasked with managing challenges such as economic fluctuations and shifting customer preferences. Industry analysts suggest that her proven track record in driving strategic growth may bolster investor confidence. Meanwhile, competitors are expected to intensify their efforts to enhance repair solutions and expand market reach in response to Chromalloy’s reinforced leadership.
